Visit a Waorani community, deep within the Amazon basin. This area has been documented as THE most biologically diverse place on the planet.
Students accepted into the program will take these two courses in Neotropical Ecology:
BI 410/510 Neotropical Ecology (Spring term at UO, 2 credits)
BI 479/579 Neotropical Ecology: field (June 20-July 6 in Ecuador, 6 credits)
* Satisfies several requirements for Biology, Environmental Science/Studies and General Science.
* Expenses approximately $6700: includes room/board/ transportation in Ecuador, tuition for 6 credits in summer, flight from Portland to Quito.
Spanish is not required.
